Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what information Sitecheckly (“Sitecheckly”, “we”, “us”) collects when you use our website and services, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using Sitecheckly you agree to the practices described here.
1. Information we collect
- Account information. Your email address, an optional display name, and a securely hashed password. We never store your password in plain text.
- Content you submit. The website addresses (URLs/domains) you choose to audit or monitor, and the analysis results generated from them.
- Usage data. Your audit history, saved sites, monitoring settings and daily usage counters.
- Technical data.Your IP address (used for rate limiting and abuse prevention) and data stored in your browser’s local/session storage to keep you signed in.
- Billing data. If you subscribe to a paid plan, payment is processed by PayPal. We do not receive or store your card details — only a subscription reference and its status.
2. How we use your information
We use the information above to:
- provide the audits, monitoring and reports you request;
- save your history and track changes to your sites over time;
- apply plan limits and keep the service reliable and secure;
- send you account, monitoring and alert emails;
- detect, prevent and respond to abuse or technical issues.
3. Cookies and local storage
We use your browser’s local and session storage to hold authentication tokens so you stay signed in. We do not use third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
4. Third-party services
We rely on a small number of trusted providers to operate the service. They process only the data needed for their function:
- PayPal — to process subscription payments.
- Email delivery provider — to send transactional and alert emails.
- Google PageSpeed Insights and Qualys SSL Labs — to analyse the public URLs you submit. The address you submit is sent to these services to generate results.
5. Data retention
We retain your account data and history while your account is active. History may be limited by your plan. When you delete your account, your saved analyses and associated data are removed.
6. Your rights
You can view and manage your data from your account at any time. You may delete your account, which removes your saved data, directly from the account page. If you need help exercising any right, contact us at support@sitecheckly.com.
7. Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and hashed passwords. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Children
Sitecheckly is not intended for children, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under the age required by applicable law in their country.
9. International processing
Your data may be processed on servers located in countries other than your own. Where it is, we take steps to ensure it remains protected as described here.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of the service after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
